UN Recommends Everyone Stop Telling Women What To Do With Their Bodies
The UN states that any country restricting a woman’s access to abortion and/or contraception is, in doing so, violating a woman’s human rights.
….finally.
So, we’ve got extremely reputable cancer-related organizations saying abortion doesn’t cause cancer or increase your risk.
We’ve got extremely reputable reports declaring post-abortion depression to be a hoax.
We’ve got extremely reputable reports showing how many women die from lack of safe, legal abortions.
And now we have the UN stating that ANY and ALL restrictions to the right to choose, to have knowledge, and to have contraception is a violation of human rights.
Your move, Anti-Choicers. Try not to use slavery, the Holocaust, or the Bible.

Cool story, bros. It’s awesome that you think you get a say about what goes on in my and other people’s uteruses.

Demand access to contraception, abortion, comprehensive sex education and health care. If you’re called an angry feminist in the process, tell them you have a fucking right to be, but only as long as that anger drives you to change something.
PROOF!!!!

Pro-life. These people aren’t pro-life. They’re killing doctors. What kind of pro-life is that? They’ll do anything they can to save a fetus but if it grows up to be a doctor they just might have to kill it. They’re not pro-life. You know what they are? They’re anti-woman. Simple as it gets. Anti-woman. They don’t like them. They don’t like women. They believe a woman’s primary role is to function as a broodmare for the state. Pro-life. You don’t see many of these white anti-abortion women volunteering to have any black fetuses transplanted into their uteruses, do you? No, you don’t see them adopting a whole lot of crack babies, do you? No, that might be something Christ would do.

I wonder what the difference is between those woman who decide they can do both, and those who don’t give themselves the chance. My abortion actually makes me a chef, because after a birth control failure in the middle of my culinary school program I was able to graduate, uninterrupted, and realize my dream of owning a successful restaurant.

Ahahahaha awesome commentary is awesome.
Probably class privilege.
What pisses me off is when people say “Oh, women are so selfish when they get an abortion because it’s ‘inconvenient’ for their lives.”
I’m sorry but really?!
A bus being late is inconvenient. Having to take an alternate route to work is inconvenient.Having to carry, give birth to and raise a child is a huge, life changing thing that will impact everything the person does for the rest of their lives (or the next 18 years at least).
Of course there is the fact that adoption is an option but the pregnant person (cause not everyone with a uterus even identifies as female) would still have to go through nine months of pregnancy and everything that goes with it.
Then comes the childbirth, which many people say is the worst pain they have ever felt. My own mother was in labour with me for sixteen hours and eventually had to have a C-Section, leaving her scarred.
Imagine going through 9 months of hard, forced pregnancy, hours upon hours of the worst pain you have ever felt even though you know there’s nothing good coming out of this then giving up the baby you never wanted to carry and birth in the first place.
Does any of that sound just like an ‘inconvenience’ to you?
